iFarmer is an agri tech company that enables access to finance, advisory and markets for micro, small and medium farm owners. Individuals and institutions can choose to finance farms through the iFarmer platform. iFarmer works with verified and trained partner farmers, offering them advisory services and then connects the farm produce to B2B clients. At the end of the farming cycle the profit is shared with the farmers and farm investors, while iFarmer earns a commission.Till date we have worked with 1000 farmers and facilitated 0.5 million USD in farm financing.

iFarmer was the winner of Seedstars Bangladesh in 2019 and will compete at Seedstars Global in Geneva in March 2020. iFarmer was also one of the winners of UNCDF Fintech Innovation Fund in 2019. iFarmer has raised seed funding from Singapore based Accelerating Asia and the company got registered in Singapore in January 2020, while the Bangladesh entity is registered as a Private Limited Company since 2019. In 2020 iFarmer is investing in blockchain and farmers credit model to ensure better access to finance for farmers, improved farm traceability and develop an efficient supply chain of farm produce”

Fahad Ifaz, CEO

Fahad did his BBA from NSU (2006-2010) and a Masters in Economics from NSU (2012-2013). He was the President of Young Entrepreneurs Society and also played football for the NSU football team and won 2 inter-university championships. Professionally Fahad worked at Swisscontact-Katalyst, The World Bank, CARE Australia and SPRING Accelerator.

Jamil Akbar- COO- Jamil did is undergraduate degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (2005-2010). He was the Vice President of the Debate Club at NSU where he participated and organized several international and national debate championships. Jamil worked for some of the top IT companies like Tiger IT and Graphic People, where he managed and was part of complex and large scale projects such as machine readable passport, digital number plate, etc.
